I came to see Beau after I injured my shoulder. I had been seeing a health practioner and it wasn't getting better, in fact it was to painful. With some simple pressure points Beau was able to give me some relief of my frozen shoulder and some exercises to strengthen it. I'd been a massage therapist for 5 years when I finally started working out with Beau Wilkins. At 56 years of age, my wrists and hands were incredibly sore and getting worse every day. My back hurt most nights after a full day of deep tissue massages. I was very worried that I'd have to quit the profession that I'd just begun and loved passionately. Beau was my last hope. I'd tried massage, acupuncture, chiropractic and physical therapy, but nothing lasted longer than my first massage the next day.

Beau explained that weak muscles are injured more easily. If I strengthen all my muscles, but especially my weaker muscles, I will have fewer injuries. It took a few months before I became a believer. Now, 20 months later, I'm stronger than ever and actually LIKE working out with Beau twice a week. (I never thought I'd do or SAY that.) My workout is unique for me and my issues. It's never the same as the week before. If I say this hurts or that hurt last night, the workout is focused in that area and the pain almost magically disappears. I don't know what I'd do without him. I was told about Beau by a co-worker and I thought yeah yeah yeah, just another personal trainer. After about a month of listening to her rave about him I thought, okay I'll try it. That was a year ago and boy was I wrong. Beau is so much more then a fitness trainer. His knowledge about nutrition and how the body processes all of the nutrients is amazing. He helps you with your meal planing, all the way from the serving sizes down to how to decipher the ingredient labels on food. He is always changing his workouts, so it doesn't get boring or easier and he is always pushing you. As a result I am stronger, and more fit than I have been in a long, long time. I’m 18 years old with back and knee problems of someone three times my age. For the last six years I have gone to countless doctors, acupuncturist, physical therapist, and chiropractors. They all provided advice and short term solutions, but I was just an other patient at their clinic. Last year my mom’s friend referred me to Beau. My initial thought was why would I want to do Rehab for a fourth time when it hasn’t worked in the past, but decided to give it a chance. Beau didn’t give me the cookie cutter exercises like my past physical therapist instead he designed a routine that was uniquely my own. The short version of training with Beau is if you are over weight, out of shape or broken he can fix it.

I first went to Beau with a 3 month commitment to get fit, toned and into shape . I had a 3day hike to the Grand Canyon and 2 of my son’s weddings coming up within the next 5 to 9 months.

I don’t like to work real hard and sweating in not really something I do on a regular basis. Beau took me on. With diet, nutrition and a multifaceted conditioning plan we went to work. Needless to say the 1st month was an adventure and with 4% less body fat we started the next month. At the end of my 3rd month commitment I had lost 11% body fat and realized working out was a love hate thing that I could not do without.

I've had numerous gyms, trainers, and work-out partners over the years and none have given me the results that Beau has! I signed up with Beau to get back into a routine of working out and to help reshape my body that was changing as I was getting older. I have a job that is very taxing on my body and usually results in a lot of long-term injuries, so I also wanted him to strengthen my core to protect myself from further injury. He's not only accomplished all of these goals, but he's also evaluated my diet, given me a meal plan and reviewed my physician's work-up. My name is Phil Pritchett and I am currently 60 years of age. I started working with Beau about two years ago. My purpose was to beat the aches and pains of aging and also maintain a level of conditioning to keep myself active. Looking good and feeling good never hurts either.

The more time I spent with Beau, I realized he was someone you loved to hate and also began to understand just how much knowledge he possessed when it came to maintaining your body and good health.

I had been suffering with shoulder pain for years and even had surgery on one of my shoulders (which turned out not to be a torn rotator cuff). I could barely lift my right arm above my head and throwing a ball of any kind was out of the question.

I shared this with Beau and he quietly and calmly said, “ I can fix that”. “Sure you can”, I thought. Well through a series of strength conditioning exercises, some mobility therapy, I saw a noticeable improvement in both mobility and decreased pain.

I worked out with Beau two to three times per week, as my schedule would allow. The workouts were designed by Beau and targeted at the whole body even though extra time was spent from time to time on keeping those shoulders loose and strong.

Eating habits and nutrition were also a major part of the program and Beau was knowledgeable in providing the right kind of nutrition for every life style. Combine the right proteins, carbohydrates and fats, eat 5-6 times a day and loose body fat and gain muscle, pretty simple, if you have the knowledge and follow through.

I personally cannot say enough good things about Beau as a Conditioning Coach and as a person. He listens, he responds and he will take you to places you never thought you could go. By the way, no more shoulder pain and throwing the football around on the holidays is not a problem.

I have since moved to Arizona and miss those workouts. We have tapes that Beau has made and written programs to follow but one on one with Beau can’t be replaced.
